CHALLENGE: William Temple House, which is a non-profit charity that focuses on providing services and counseling for families in need, wanted to open a North Portland Annex to better serve the area. An old 1890 church building was donated for this purpose, but needed extensive repairs and renovations in order to house the counseling and distribution functions.
SOLUTION: The roof structure was repaired and reroofed. Siding was removed and replaced, all the perimeter foundation was repaired, new windows installed, insulation added, access and egress ramps and stairs were rebuilt, and all of the interior finishes were redone. The center is not actively used for counseling and distribution of clothing and food. If you have any questions or need information, call Bright Works today at (503)897-7724. |
